The mission of the Music Ministry at FUMC is to select music for worship, cultivate skills in choral singing for the Chancel Choir, provide musical opportunities for self-expression, and give positive spiritual and social support to its members. The Music Ministry also sponsors A Wesleyan Sermon Recital Series, community concerts, piano and organ recitals, and guest performances. Through music, we reach out to our diverse community in celebration, praise and worship of God’s grace and goodness.
The Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at FUMC from 7pm to 8:30pm. We rehearse from the end of Aug through the end of May and provide the music for the 10:30am Sunday worship service. We are off for the summer months. All are welcome to attend.
