ABOUT THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS

1big

In 2005 artist Jessica Patton was commissioned to complete a series of paintings depicting the Way of the Cross, thirteen stations depicting Christ's journey to the cross on Good Friday. These paintings, rendered in watercolor, can be found in the Wesley Chapel just off of Fellowship Hall in First United Methodist Church. Each painting hangs with text and a prayer that helps guide the viewer through Christ's journey. You are welcome to visit the Wesley Chapel where you'll find the original paintings as well as a guidebook explaining the history of the Way of the Cross.
